Organizing your personal records for peace of mind

Home Page

We all dream of a day when we will have everything in order.  A place for everything and everything in its place. Then we will enjoy peace of mind. Yet, despite good intentions, many of us leave behind scattered documents and a financial scavenger hunt for our heirs, an additional burden at a difficult time.

Is this the legacy you want to leave to your family?  Or would you like to have your personal affairs ordered to make it easy for your family? Who in your family needs help getting their affairs in order?

Do not let this happen to you or your loved ones. Take action today!

When to use a personal records organizer

You should review your personal affairs and record keeping whenever you have a major life event. Major life events include:
     *birth
     *marriage
     *divorce
     *home purchase
     *house move
    *down sizing
     *job change
     *job loss
     *change in finances
     *death

Even if you do not experience a major life event, you should review your personal affairs and record keeping with your family and/or executor at least once a year. Consider tying your review to an annual event. It can be personal such as your
     *birthday
     *anniversary
or an event on everyone's calendar such as
     *New Year's Day
*Income Tax Filing Day--you will have gathered many of your records!
     *Back to School

What will happen if you do not take action?
